I actually have a camcorder connected to my pc but a webcam is easier if you've got one. I have Yahoo Messenger myself and once your cam is loaded to your pc, you have three choices of how you can be viewed. 1.Everyone has to ask permission, you then accept or not; 2.You choose who you want to be able to gain access without asking for your permission. I use my messenger buddy list. Anyone else not on that would need to ask permission. 3.Absolutely everyone can gain access without your permission. This would include people like your family, employers, friends who don't know you jack off on cam! - if they happened to know your id or stumbled on it! I normally use [2] but on occasions I do select [3] - usually if I place a post in a masturbation group saying I am wanking on open cam because obviously you get people who aren't on your buddy list and if I select 2 I get inundated with requests!

Well I have a Hauppage Win TV Software thingy if that helps. I can set the cam to work on different speeds but I choose the fastest speed because of what you say. Cams that change once per sec seem to be normal. Not sure about MSN but with Yahoo when you're camming you can see how many are viewing at any time and click to see who they are. This is important for me because it wouldn't be half as much fun jacking off if I didn't know that anybody was watching!
